Your steps are leading you along a trail that weaves its way through the domains of Salkantay, \u201c<strong>the wild or untameable mountain<\/strong>\u201d in English. From here, it\u2019s the strength of your legs that will carry you to your destination: <strong>the fabulous Humantay<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-16-font-size\">Heading towards the lagoon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At around <strong>9:30 a.m.<\/strong>, you will arrive at Soraypampa (<strong>3,880 m a.s.l.<\/strong>) to begin the hike. The distance to the lagoon is <strong>4.2 km (one way)<\/strong>, and the approximate duration of the trek is <strong>2 h and 30 min<\/strong>. But don\u2019t worry\u2014<strong>the guide won\u2019t rush you<\/strong> or push you beyond your limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s important is that you go at your own pace and <strong>fully enjoy<\/strong> the Vilcabamba mountain range. The guided tour will be exclusively in either English or Spanish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have guaranteed departures every day?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, we depart every day, but to ensure your spot on the bus, we recommend booking in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I cancel the tour?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can always cancel the tour, but there will be no refund unless you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do refunds work?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can request a refund as long as you cancel the tour 48 hours in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When issuing a refund, we will deduct 5% of the total amount paid, as this is the commission charged by banks and PayPal for processing the transaction.
