You’ll also see how local families keep the ancient art of weaving alive, using natural dyes and traditional techniques passed down through generations.

After this first experience, you’ll continue by bus to Moray, one of the most mysterious sites in the Sacred Valley. This archaeological wonder will impress you with its massive circular terraces, believed to have been used as an agricultural laboratory where the Incas experimented with different microclimates to optimise crop production. As your guide reveals the secrets of this fascinating site, you’ll marvel at the Incas’ ability to work with the land, altitude, and climate to achieve such advanced agricultural techniques. A short distance from Moray lies the Maras Salt Mines, another highlight of the journey. Hundreds of white salt pools carved into the mountainside create a dreamlike landscape. Refreshed and ready to continue, you’ll head to Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive stops on the route. This archaeological site was both a strategic fortress and a ceremonial centre during the Inca Empire. As you climb its stone terraces, your guide will recount how key battles were fought here against the Spanish conquistadors. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley, the town of Ollantaytambo, and the distant Cachik’ata quarries. Ollantaytambo is also known as a living Inca town — its cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and water channels still follow the original Inca urban layout, giving you the feeling of stepping back in time.

The final stop will be Pisaq, another of the Sacred Valley’s great treasures. At the upper part of the site, you’ll explore its impressive agricultural terraces that gracefully descend along the mountainside. Here, you’ll learn about ancient farming techniques, ceremonial centres, and the structures that once served as control and defence posts. In the lower part of the village, time permitting, you’ll have the chance to visit Pisaq’s famous craft market, where colourful ceramics, silver jewellery, and beautifully handwoven textiles await.

After exploring this last Inca site, you’ll return to Cusco by bus, arriving at around 7:00 p.m. The tour will end near the Plaza de Armas, where you can take a leisurely walk back to your hotel or continue enjoying the city’s magical evening atmosphere.

Are the visit times to the attractions punctual?

No, all visit times are approximate, as they depend heavily on road traffic, visitors’ physical condition, and the weather. If you book a private tour, the times listed in the tour description are generally followed more closely.

Where do I buy tickets to enter the attraction?

All entry tickets are purchased at the attraction’s gate on the day of the tour—just make sure to bring cash in Peruvian soles.

What are the differences between shared and private tours?

On a shared tour, you will join other tourists, with the group size typically averaging 20 people. The pick-up of tourists from the historic centre of Cusco can take 30 to 40 minutes, and the guided tour is conducted in both Spanish and English.

However, if you book a private tour, it will be just for you and your travel companions (with no strangers). The pick-up will be very punctual, and once we pick you up from your hotel, we will immediately depart for the destination. The guided tour will be exclusively in either English or Spanish.

Can I cancel the tour?

You can always cancel the tour, but there will be no refund unless you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.

How do refunds work?
